11/23-11/24 Homework 5,6,7,8th

11/23-11/24 Homework 5,6,7,8th:

The homework for the holiday is to memorize the Sum and Difference Formulas and the Double Angle Formulas that we went over in class. You will have a short quiz over these formulas the day we return from break.

You should also complete Chapter 5.4 page 404 #1-17 odd (omitting #13). This was a handout that was passed out in class. Most students finished it and turned it in before class was over. If you did not then please have it turned in the day we return from break.

November 6 - Periods 1,4

Your homework for Monday/Tuesday is from Section 4.7: 19-34.

These problems require that you use a calculator to find the inverse sine, cosine, and tangent of various values.

If you don't have a calculator at home, you can still do the homework. Google has a very nice online calculator. Go to google.com and type in: atan(sqrt(3))

Google will perform the calculation and give you an answer back: 1.04719755

Have a great weekend!

Your Homework is from Section 4.6: 7-14.

These problems are asking you to plot sketches for tan, cot, sec, csc. Remember that for the reciprocal functions (sec and csc), you should plot cos or sin *first*.

I handed this out during class. It was a page from your text book that had been copied. There should have been word problems using inverse trigonometric functions.

Remember last day to turn in anything or to do corrections is Friday before school.

Also, you don't have school next Monday.
