For 9/25, Periods 1,4

Don't forget to study for your quiz on Friday! 9 questions, no calculator or notes.

Remember to study your flashcards every day so that you don't fall behind.

Now that everyone has a textbook, I will start assigning homework from the book rather than handing out worksheets. The first assignment will be given Friday.

9/23/ and 9/24, Periods 1, 4

We will complete some additions to the deck of flash cards that we started last week. These will include the sine, cosine, and tangent of 30, 45, and 60 degrees.

There will be a quiz on Friday over these nine values. I will discuss the quiz in more detail during class Wednesday/Thursday.

Also, now that each of you has a textbook for the course, I will begin assigning homework from the book. Please keep track of your book -- you are responsible for it for the duration of the course. Please do not leave it in the classroom.

09/21-09/22 Homework 5,6,7,8th

Homework for 5,6,7,8th Period:

Recreate the Unit Circle that we did in class today on the blank circle worksheet that I handed out to you at the end of class. You may use one or both sides depending on how you wish to organize. Please label the degrees, radians and coordinates on the circle. You should do this from memory as much as possible. You may look at the circles that we did in class to check your work or if you get stuck. However, you should practice creating the circle from memory for future work in class.

09/18 Homework (1,4)

Please finish the 9 notecards we started in class. Those include sin, cos, and tan definitions along with the values of 45 degree, and 60 (or 30) degree angles that we went over in class.

Over the next several weeks we will be adding to this stack of notecards, and I expect that you will have them with you for every class. In fact, it would be a great idea to keep them with you all the time and quiz yourself during your spare time! :-)

Have a great weekend!

Please finish the SAT problems that I handed out earlier this week. Also go through your homework from last class p308 #1-4, #9-19, #27-29 and make sure that you don't have any decimal answers. If you do, change them into the radical form. Look at the examples in the chapter or the answers in the back of the book if you have any questions about this. Also, look back to the examples from class that are in your notes.

09/16-09/17 Homework (1,4)

Please attempt all the problems on the SAT practice sheet. Some of the problems are a little tricky, but if you think about them now, the solution will make much more sense to you when you see it in class.
